LOCAL SMALL BUSINESS TO SHOWCASE POSITIVE BUSINESS NEWS

CHELSEA, MA, USA (12/1/08) –
TIC Business Consultants, Ltd.is a woman owned, SOMWBA certified small business on a mission to encourage other small companies to share their success stories.  “There’s plenty of bad news out there about the economy, but as the owner of a small business that services hundreds of other small companies, we see lots of good news stories every day,” TIC Business Co-Owner Sue Bishop said. “It isn’t all bad; the business headlines just don’t tell the whole story.”

Bishop said this is why other small businesses must come together and share their stories of success.
“Small business owners need to start writing their own narrative,” she said. “We are happy to have our own good news story to share in 2009 as we celebrate 20 years in business and instead of handing out pens and coffee mugs we plan to hand out kudos to other small businesses.”

TIC Business Consultants, founded in 1989 by Sue Bishop and Dyan Brockbank, is a computer network support, training and consulting company serving small and medium sized businesses.  “According to the Small Business Administration, small companies have created 60-80% of net new jobs in the last decade,” Bishop said. “Most of our small business clients have solid business models and the flexibility to adapt to a rapidly changing business climate. As we approach our 20th year in business, we’re already looking down the road to our 25th anniversary.”

Bishop said she is proud to be a part of a business that has held its own throughout, without help from the government.  “Small businesses won’t be getting bailed out by the government,” Bishop said. “There will be challenges, but our community will prevail through innovation, creativity, persistence, sound management and devotion to delivering quality products and services.”

In 2009, TIC will be showcasing stories like these on their website (www.ticbiz.com) and in email newsletters.
“TIC Business Consultants is proud to be part of this community and we plan to express our gratitude by helping other small businesses thrive,” Bishop said. “In addition to promoting other small companies, TIC will be offering a number of discount promotions and will share technical tips and information throughout the coming year.”
