Sue Bishop

Sue Bishop is President and a founding partner of TIC Business Consultants, a company specializing in local and wide area network design, installation and support. Sue has 30+ years of business experience, including senior management and consulting positions. Prior to starting TIC Business Consultants, Sue held positions at Digital Music Systems, Harvard University and Moynihan Lumber. Sue has spoken extensively on technical and management topics that impact small business.

Interests and hobbies:

Photography - I can spend hours walking around taking pictures.

Playing the drums and listening to music. In 1999 we had the opportunity to executive produce a CD in collaboration with Jon Butcher, an experience I will never forget. You can check out the CD on iTunes by searching for "Caroline Stratton".

Wine – bought my first case in 1979 and have been collecting wine ever since. My collection focuses mainly on French Bordeaux, Italian and California wines (mostly reds). I Love sharing a good bottle with friends. People know I collect so I get invited to dinner a lot.

Cooking –collecting wine is all about drinking it with good food. Learning to cook started out as a necessity that has been turning into a fun hobby.

Animals - our TIC offices have been home to a number of foster kittens. We’ve worked with the humane society for years raising kittens, some only 12 hours old when they arrived. Everyone in the office helps by hand-feeding, holding and playing with them. It’s not unusual to find a desk draw half way open with a 2 week old kitten curled up inside it. It has been challenging and rewarding work. While we have lost a few, we’ve been able to place every foster kitten in good homes.

We’ve also had dogs running around the office for the past 20 years. Laika and Wind (both keeshonds) graced our lives for 14 years. Our latest four-legged is a 6 pound poodle named Quinn. He’s a barrel of laughs and a very spoiled lap dog.
